About

MOSHE Movement
Words That Make a Difference

MOSHE is a social movement in Israel that works to reduce suicide and suicide attempts. Through the unique, short term ROOFING model, it delivers fast, focused community action. It is the first group in Israel to prevent suicide through a community response, acting as a life saving barrier for people at risk.

The service is community based and does not replace professional therapy.

Our Vision: To build an aware and protected society where suicide prevention is a shared community responsibility, and every person in distress finds a human, community, and professional response.

Young People & Teens

Teens are at higher risk of suicide due to a unique mix of emotional and physical changes, along with questions about identity and self-worth.

LGBTQ+

Higher suicide risk in the LGBTQ+ community comes from rejection, discrimination, and social or family exclusion, not from sexual orientation or gender identity.

Former Religious

The mix of inner emotional turmoil and social isolation puts people leaving religious communities at higher risk of suicide and calls for a response that fits their needs.

Older Adults

Older adults have the highest suicide risk due to factors like loneliness, loss of function, and chronic illness, which can lead to deep emotional pain.

Men

Men die by suicide at four times the rate of women, often linked to life crises, trauma, and social norms that make it harder to share pain or seek help.

In What Situations
Should You Contact MOSHE?
